A Custom Marble Fireplace for a Toronto Bedroom
This custom marble fireplace mantel was created for a bedroom in a Toronto residential project.
Designed by the project designer and ordered by the builder, the mantel was produced from Exclusive Marble Quarry material with a honed finish. The complete fireplace surround was developed specifically for the dimensions and architectural detailing of the project.

From Designer Concept to 3D Development
The fireplace design originated with the project designer. Three-dimensional models were used to represent the overall form of the mantel, including the profiled inner surround, vertical legs, upper section and full-width hearth.
Shop Drawings & Dimensional Documentation
The project shop drawings document the dimensions of the complete fireplace mantel and its individual architectural components.
The drawing set includes the top section, left and right legs, plinths, caps and hearth, providing dimensional information for the custom marble assembly.

The Marble Selection
The selected marble features strong natural movement across a pale gray and cream background, with prominent red, rust and darker veining.
The photographs document the natural block before the individual fireplace components were produced.
Custom Marble Fabrication
The mantel was fabricated as a series of individual marble components corresponding to the geometry and dimensions shown in the project drawings.
The production photographs show the marble pieces at different stages, including the profiled surround, larger structural elements, hearth pieces and smaller trim components.
Profile Details & Dimensional Checks
The finished marble components were checked against the project dimensions during production.
Close-up photographs document the depth and scale of the profiled architectural details as well as measurements across the larger marble elements.
Component Layout
The individual fireplace components were arranged together before packing, providing a clear view of how the profiled surround, upper section, hearth and supporting pieces relate to the complete mantel design.
Packing & Preparation for Delivery
After fabrication, the marble components were protected and organized in wooden packaging for transportation.
